Estelle is a dedicated legal professional with a background in corporate and commercial law. She has expertise in commercial contract drafting, data privacy advice per the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013,  corporate restructurings and BEE transactions.

Estelle is a regular contributor to the Mining Law Review, and authors the South African Chapter annually.

Significant matters:

• successfully facilitated the restructure of a large previous metals refinery with a focus on BEE compliance;
• was a key member of an advisory team on a multi-billion rand BEE transaction for a Limpopo-based mine, whose integrity has stood for over a decade;
• facilitated the acquisition of a local South African business by an international family-owned animal health company;
• oversaw a purchaser’s legal strategy in the acquisition of a specialist ink manufacturing company;
• assisted JSE-listed companies and innovative tech startups with legal advice tailored to their industries and specific challenges; and
• provided specialised advice to mining and construction sectors, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations and technological advancements.
