Overview

Our experience ranges from reviewing proposed amendments to local legislation, advising international clients on incorporating entities across numerous African jurisdictions, engaging with various registration and licensing bodies, investment structuring, as well as advising on the treatment and regulatory framework of renewable energy in Botswana. 

Being intimately familiar with international best practice as envisaged by the General Data Protection Regulation as well as domestic laws including the Protection of Personal Information Act, Primerio is well versed to consult clients in relation to data privacy issues.  

Primerio is further able to advise clients in adherence to consumer protection laws. We have particular experience in advising large automotive and FMCG companies in relation to recall campaigns. We provide specialised advice in relation to all consumer protection related matters.  

Primerio’s regulatory experience extends to providing advice to clients on environmental law issues. In this regard, we have provided corporate and commercial advice to a substantial property development company in South Africa regarding a project development in Kenya. We have also advised on project developments and regulatory issues in South Africa, Malawi, Ghana and Nigeria.
